Our Story

1989. In 1989 I was first introduced to the wonderful world of rock hounding by my father. We would walk up and down the gravel roads of rural Wisconsin, keeping our eyes peeled for the elusive Lake Superior agate. The banding in these Stones is incredible, and as a child their magic filled me up every time I had the pleasure of finding a new one and putting it in my pocket. Pockets are rocks, pockets of rocks.

My love for stones began at an early age, and with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge I see no end to this adventure. I love to rockhound the many gravely beaches of the Pacific Northwest coast, as well as any gravel Bar I can find. I am pretty much willing to hunt rocks anywhere I possibly can. Mountains, desert, rivers, and streams, oh my! I’ve even found a handful of lovely rocks being pushed from the fertile soil by delicious chanterelles!

rocks have taken me near and far, and after hunting for many years I finally discovered the incredible World of lapidary! The stories these Stones can tell is not only a geologic wonder, it is a tale of epic proportions, and it’s my pleasure to share it with you.
